Bachelorette Dinner Party

I love coming across new bachelorette party ideas and this just might be the loveliest pairing of all – all your best girlfriends, loads of delicious food and really great wine!  Does it get any better?  There are tons of exciting ways to make a simple dinner party a night the bride will always remember by adding a few trimmings to the dinner table.  Set the table with a couple menu cards, get creative with name settings, use colourful napkins, add an edible favour, hang a banner, finish with some balloons, a sash, and voila!

The next step is keeping guests engaged throughout the evening.  Here are two of my favourite dinner party games.

Celebrity Hubby

Download the free pdf here Celebrity Hubby.  Print and cut out cards for each guest and have them write down who their celebrity hubby would be and why.  For example, mine was Brad Paisley because he “doesn’t mind waiting on a woman”.  Then fold it up and throw all the cards into a hat and get the bride to guess who’s celebrity hubby belongs to which guest.

The Fiancé Quiz

A few days before the party, compile a list of questions and send them to the groom-to-be.  Print the pdf here The Fiance Quiz (double sided optional with graphic) and fill in the cards with his answers.  I folded each card and hid them under random plates before guests arrived.  Once it was time to play the game, I asked guests to check under their plates and if they had a card, to read the question out loud to the bride.  Turn this idea into a drinking game by making the bride drink when her answer does not match the one written inside.

Bushplane Museum Wedding by Lee Anne Jarrett Photography

In my humble opinion, it doesn’t get much better than a wedding at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.  This pretty little locale is a completely unique space with a remarkable dining area set among vintage aircraft while overlooking the St. Mary’s River.  As you will see in the gallery below, this gorgeous gem of a day captured by Lee Anne Jarrett Photography is filled to the brim with all kinds of charm and whimsical touches.
